Valentine's Day Special, Part 1

You are sitting in front of the television when a commercial comes on.

"Our new Valentine's Day Special will save you 50% off on all products!" the charismatic female narrator says. "So hurry to get your special someone something that'll show you truly love them!"

"Valentine's Day?" Flashfire asks. "What's that?"

"An Earth holiday all about love and romance," you explain. "I heard about it the other day."

Flashfire gasps, then squeals.

"When is it?! When is it?!"

"In a couple weeks," you say, surprised by her enthusiasm. "Which gives me plenty of time to find something for Blackfire."

"And I have just enough time to pick something out for BeastBoy!!"

"You two... are still together?" you say hesitantly.

"Of course," she answers, "why would you think otherwise?"

"Well, you just never seem to stick to one boy very long."

"Those are normal human boys. BeastBoy is different, in more ways then one. I'm going to start brainstorming ideas!"

Flashfire hurries off into her room as Blackfire enters the living room. She was dressed in tight, purple sweatpants and a little light-purple tank-top.

"What was all the commotion about?" she asks.

"Oh, nothing much," you say. "She's all excited over Valentine's Day."

"That reminds me," she says as she sits on the couch and drapes her legs over yours. "We've been trying to make our baby for a time now, yes?"

"Yes..."

"And that holiday, Valentine's, is all about love, yes?"

"Yes..."

"What would you say if you and I had a whole day to ourselves, just to enjoy each other's company."

"That would be nice," you admit. "Flashfire could hang out with the Teen Titans, since she's interested in spending time with BeastBoy."

"And," Blackfire says as she smooths a leg against your chest, "what if on that day by ourselves, you and I... spent all afternoon... 'trying to make our baby'."

Blackfire's smile is so very naughty and suggestive that you understand right away.

"Really...?"

She nods. Now you are smiling.

"Now I'm anxious to get these next few weeks over with," you tease.
