Valentine's Day Special, Part 9

Blackfire rolls over so that she faces you, her dark-purple hair draping over her bare back.

"Saffire," she says gently, "I think I'm hungry for lunch now."

"I'll go make us some sandwiches," you say as you start to get up.

"No, no," she says, motioning for you to stay seated. "I'll go get lunch."

She stands and walks into the house, and you notice the sand stuck to her legs and butt. It's rather cute.

You sit alone for a good ten minutes, the only sounds being the breeze and the waves.

During those ten minutes, you imagine what it'll be like once you have your child. It'll be so much busier, but it'll be so much more exciting, too. He, or she, will be running and flying around the house as an energetic toodler, and you and Blackfire can rough house with them when they're older. And Flashfire and Starfire will be there as his/her guardians, and it'll make family holidays like Christmas even better!

"Lunch is ready!" Blackfire announces as she brings out two plates. "For me, I made a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich, and for you, I made a Double Meat sandwich, Ham and Turkey together."

You smile, and are pleased by your wife's intuition.

"Thank you, Blackfire. You remembered mustard, yes?"

"Of course!" she responds. "I wouldn't forget Earth's single greatest confectionary invention."

The two of you chow down, and not only did she remember, she SLATHERED it with mustard! The tangy sensation drives you wild with each bite! If she wasn't busy with her own sandwich, you'd take Blackfire then and there!

You devour your sandwich in half the time Blackfire does, making sure to savor every bit of mustard. Then, you get a great idea.

"Wait here," you tell Blackfire.

You rush into the house and open the refridgerator.

"There you are...!"

You hurry out, hiding what you took behind you.

"Blackfire, I have a great addition to our Lunchtime session." You reveal what you were hiding, and Blackfire gasps in excitement. You are holding the bottle of mustard.
