Only one week has passed, leaving one week until Valentine's Day. Flashfire has been going anywhere she can looking for a good gift to give BeastBoy.
"Oh...! I can't decide!" she grumbles. "I found a nice new Tofu Maker in Japan, and an equally nice black-and-purple jacket that goes with his uniform, but I don't know which one he would like best!"
"You should get both," Blackfire suggested. "It's not like there's a limit to what you can get."
"*Ahem*," you speak up. "There actually is a limit, known as currency."
"Well, we should have enough for both," Blackfire says.
"But I don't want to waste money on something he wouldn't like," Flashfire argues.
"I'm sure he'll like either one," Blackfire counters. "They are coming from you, so Beastboy will like them just for that."
"Aren't you sweet," you say to Blackfire.
She smiles and giggles as Flashfire scrounges up her share of the money.
"Well, I guess... But I'll make sure I can get one of those Tofu Makers first, they were in limited supply."
Flashfire flies away, and Blackfire finishes with the laundry.
"So, my husband," she asks you as she scoots over on the couch. "Have you done any gift searchiing?"
Uh oh.
"No..."
Blackfire's jaw couldn't have dropped any quicker.
"What...?!"
"I wasn't sure what you'd like!" you shout in your defense. "Though you grew up as a princess, you've proven you can live with basics. And though we love each other and know so much about the other, I have no idea what kind of Earth products you'd enjoy!"
"Well, you could gone to look and see!" she shouts. "It might've given you some ideas!"
"Alright, alright!" you say in desparate defense. "Just give me a general idea, or else I'll just be wandering around."
Blackfire thinks for a moment.
"I'll be fine with some new outfits to wear. Swimsuits, shorts, something for the coming Spring and Summer seasons."
"Got it."
You take off towards the United States, namely New York, with plenty of money in your pockets.
