"Well, that is what we were hoping you'd help us with," you say, hunching your shoulders. "We've managed to make it just about half way there doing odd jobs we could do here on Earth, but if we want to get one ourselves by ourselves, it'd take another five months, and I don't think we'd be able to keep going from place to place."
"Then it is simple," Starfire says. "We shall help you purchase your new home as a gift to Sister Blackfire!"
"Uhh, Star," Robin says, leaning in. "You do realize how much those places cost, right?"
"It can't be anything unreasonable," Starfire insists.
Robin then whispers into her ear the number. Starfire gasps, eyes wide, and hands over her mouth.
"Wait, that IS expensive, yes?" Starfire is serious in her question. Robin is serious in his nodding "yes". Starfire gasps again.
"Sister," she says, turning to you and Blackfire, "that is a bit ambitious, even for a home. Why not stay with us?"
"No, Starfire," Blackfire says, smiling politely, "we can not impose ourselves like that! You are all comfortable with five, we can't just make it eight."
"Well, we should do something for y'all," Cyborg says. "You ARE Starfire's family now."
Everyone thinks for a moment, then Beastboy lights up with an idea.
"What if we MADE them a private island home?!"
"That's a great idea!" you and some of the others say.
"If we make it ourselves," Robin says.
"We don't have to pay anyone," you say.
"And we can make it however you want!" Cyborg exclaims.
"YEAH!" Beastboy adds at the end.
"BUT!!" Blackfire interjects. "Let us have my party first."
Everyone smiles and chuckles, and Starfire goes to get the birthday feast, Flashfire following after to help.
The two girls carry out plates full of meats and pots full of stews. That have meat in them. Lots of meat. And a large platter of veggies and tofu recreations for Beastboy.
You pull a chair at the table out for Blackfire, bowing a bit.
"Your throne, My Beautiful Birthday girl," you say in a regal tone.
"Why thank you, my gentlemanly husband," she says as she takes a seat.
The plates and pots arrive at the table as you sit down.
