"I'll take the outside," you say, picking up the blue paint can. "Who's with me?"
"Me!" Blackfire says as she jumps up and takes the purple paint.
"Outside has less to do, right?" Raven asks as she gets up and takes both green and yellow.
"I guess I get orange and red," Robin says, grabbing the other two cans.
"Then that leaves me, Starfire, Flashfire, and Beastboy to do the inside," Cyborg says as they each take a can or two of paint.
The Outside team takes their positions, marking out equal spaces for each color. With paint brushes in hand, the four of you begin to paint.
Up, down, up, down, you apply blue paint onto the white wall, making sure to evenly coat all 33 square feet of your space.
You look to your left to see Raven using her powers to move both brushes simultaneously, applying the yellow and green mechanically. Blackfire applies the purple on your right, being a bit of a perfectionist. She makes sure every part of an area is covered before going on to another.
You can just see Robin on the far left applying his two colors. First, he applies a solid streak of red, then matches it with a solid streak of orange. You can tell he is working his way out from the red-orange border, making sure to copy with the orange what he did with the red.
You work fast to finish your section. Once done, you move to the next wall, and measure out three-and-one-third feet, giving enough space for the purple stripe.
Raven and Blackfire finish at about the same time, and take their places on either side of you.
"I was just thinking," Blackfire says as she dabs her brush on the wall. "What are we going to do about furniture? Beastboy was right, we're going to need chairs and tables, along with couches and beds."
"Don't worry," you say. "We've still got those dollars we earned, we can use them to purchase those things."
"And you've got that statuette Starfire made you," Raven points out, again spreading yellow and green paint using her powers. "You could put that somewhere."
"Yeah," Blackfire says. "We could put it next to the Horbaloan."
Raven almost drops a brush.
"You're going to keep that?" she asks. "As furniture?!"
"Why not," you say. "It'll be some kind of modern art whatever."
"But we used it to--"
Raven stops herself as Robin joins you.
"Used what for what?" he asks.
"Nothing," Raven says, continuing her work.
"You sure?" he asks.
