Special: Onyx, Part 1

"Lady Onyx!" a young Shadowan girl calls. "Sit with us!"

"Okay, okay!"

Onyx sits next to the young girl and her friends as everyone in the Southern Plains Village gathers around their Chief, The Great Panther.

"My people!" he exclaims. "We are gathered here on the Lunar Solstice to celebrate Planet Shadow's longest Moonday of the year!"

The crowd cheers and applauds.

"And I am honored the brave Lady Onyx is here to celebrate with us!"

The crowd cheers even louder now, and Onyx blushes.

"She shall help us honor this day by participating in our village's Solstice Tradition, The Parade of the Stars!"

The crowd erupts with cheers now, several of the villagers jumping with excitement.

"Now," Panther says, calming the villagers. "we must adorn Lady Onyx with the Celestial Jewelry!"

As hollers and cheers rise again, appointed members of the village's youth come with necklaces and bracelets made from Planet Shadow's special flower found in the southern plains, the Arcturus Roses, flowers that glow a romantic red.

The young males and females help Onyx put on the necklaces and bracelets as the final piece, the Celestial Crown, with 8 fully blooming--and de-thorned--roses set at all cardinal points, and points in between, is set upon Onyx's glowing white hair.

"Doesn't Lady Onyx look lovely?" Panther asks the crowd. They respond with whistles and cheers.

Lady Onyx stands, blushing more, and walks towards Panther.

"Thank you, Chief Panther," Onyx says loud enough for everyone to hear. "Now, are we ready to parade?"

"Ah, yes," he says, taking Onyx's hand. "Stars! Shine your light!"

At this cue, several boys about Onyx's age bring out several little five-point stars, made from the leaves of plain bushes, and hold them up as they parade and dance around her and Chief Panther.
