"You're back!" Flashfire cheers.
"Sister, did you take a nap, too?" Starfire asks.
"Yes," Blackfire says. "And it was a very enjoyable one."
All of you sit back down together, and play another popular Tamaranian game, G'blindo. It is a card game with three suits, known as Pinbar, Klork, and Gablurniff, and the numbers 1 through 13.
Players take turns playing cards, trying to play a card of higher value than the last. Suit wise, it is like rock-paper-scissors: Pinbar > Klork > Gablurniff > Pinbar. Therefore, a 2 of Pinbar can beat a 2 of Klork, but can be beat by a 2 of Gablurniff.
Each suit has two G'blindo cards, which can trump anything other than the G'blindo of the higher suit.
G'blindo has three players at one time, dealing out the entire deck so that each player has 15 cards, since that is equal to one suit and two G'blindos.
"Saffire and I will play, so we can show you how it is done," Blackfire says. "And we'll add Raven to the game since she won K'gingle Florp."
The others agree, and the three selected players sit at the table.
You deal out the cards, 15 each, and take your hand.
Crud, you didn't shuffle as well as you had hoped, you've only got one G'blindos, of the Klork suit. One of the girls therefore has three G'blindos, and three opportunities to over-power your cards.
"Dealer goes first, and turns go clockwise, which means I go after," Blackfire says. "And per the customary rules, the lowest card in the dealer's hand is played first. First one to play all their cards wins."
You play your One of Gablurniff, and watch Blackfire make her selection. She plays her two of Gablurniff.
Raven uses her first turn to play her two of Klork, raising the suit level up.
Your turn again. You have a Three and Five of Klork, and a Two and Four of Pinbar. All four could beat Raven's card.
