As the die hits the board, Robin has to separate from Starfire, having ran out of breath.
"K'gingle Florp!" Starfire and Beastboy shout along with you, Cyborg, and the rest of the girls.
"Alright, the Test of Courage!" Beastboy says, excited. "How does that work?"
"We have to draw a card first!" Flashfire exclaims as she takes one from the yellow stack. "Ah, a hypothetical test. Beastboy, would you face the dreaded razor-backed H'bingar?!"
Beastboy appears to dislike the mention of "razor-backed'.
"It has what now...?"
"The H'bingar has sharp blades on its back," Flashfire begins to describe, "with jagged teeth and a long tail that they can use to whip enemies with."
Beastboy must be imagining something truly frightening, because his eyes are wide and he isn't saying anything.
"We'll take that as a no," Blackfire says, getting another giggle out of Raven. "Okay, sister, you're turn again!"
Starfire and Robin take their red dye and roll it again. They do not roll a Florp, but instead roll a 5. They move their piece along the board, and land on a Florp Challenge Space.
"Do we have to kiss again?" Robin asks, still gasping for breath.
"Only if your card says so," you tease.
Starfire draws the card, and reads it silently. Then she smiles.
"More kissing?" Robin asks, both afraid and excited.
"No," Starfire says. She quietly sits on Robin's lap, and wraps his arms around her waist. "You have to let me sit on your lap until next turn, or else we lose a turn."
"Oh," Robin says. "I guess this works."
You're starting to think Starfire planned this ahead of time.
"Our turn," Raven says Blackfire takes the die and the two roll together.
The silver die lands on four, a blank space.
"That was quick," you say as you take the purple die in your hands. You and Cyborg roll and get a 2.
Your game piece lands on a Florp Challenge Space, and you draw a card from the stack
"Wow, a big one right from the start," you say. "I must apologize for wrongs I have done to my teammate."
You turn to face Cyborg, and place your hand on his shoulder.
"Cyborg, I am truly sorry for what Blackfire and I did to you all. I shouldn't have smashed your arm, or shot Robin through a wall, or--"
"It's alright," Cyborg interrupts, patting you on your shoulder. "I've forgiven you already, and so has everyone else. That's the good thing about being part machine: i can just put on another arm or leg."
"Okay," you say. The two of you smile as you watch Beastboy and Flashfire roll their yellow die.
"A three," Flashfire says, moving the piece. "we're finally going!"
"Yes, but Beastboy didn't pass his test," Starfire points out. "He didn't say he'd fight the H'bingar."
"Aww," Beastboy says. "You mean our team still has to say we'd fight something?"
"Not necessarily," Blackfire says. "So long as you answer yes to whatever fearsome situation the cards put in front of you, you'll fill the requirement to win."
"Our turn!" Robin says, taking the red die in hand. He and Starfire roll, and get a 1, but no Florp.
Blackfire and Raven roll again, and the dice lands.
