A Thoughtful Gift

Flashfire catches the bouquet and smells the flower.

"Wow," she coos. "This means I'll find my future husband, won't I?"

"I don't know," you say. "Forever is a long time."

"Hey!" she says, giggling.

"Do we eat now?" Cyborg asks.

"And party?" Beastboy asks.

"Yes, yes, dig in!" Luand'r says. "We have traditional Tamaranian meat stew, steak, and celebretory wine!"

"Umm..." Beastboy mumbles, twidling his thumbs.

"Do not worry yourself, Beastboy," she says. "We have made Tamaranian vegetable stew as well!"

"Sweet!"

You all sit down at the dining table, you and Blackfire together at the head, with your sister on your right, and Blackfire's family on her left.

Everyone digs in, taking platefuls of meat and vegitables, and your new father-in-law pouring you and your new wife LARGE glasses of Tamaranian wine.

"What did you use to make this?" Blackfire asks.

"We used several Earth fruits," Luand'r says, "such as 'grapes' and 'apples'."

The human Titans take sips, and pucker up a bit, apparently not familiar with such a combination. You and your Tamaranian family take sips, and you personally enjoy it.

"Sweet, yet tart enough to dry your mouth, making you need more. Perfect!"

"And now, for a surprise!" Starfire and Flashfire say, flying to the kitchen.

They return with a giant cake, with tons of different colored frosting and sprinkles.

They carry the giant, multi-colored cake to the table.

"When did you make that?!" you ask.

"Does it matter?" Flashfire asks. "It's for you!"

"And look!" Starfire says, turning the cake around. On the side, written in red icing, are the words "To your ever-lasting life of love! Love, your sisters Starfire and Flashfire!" in Tamaranian.

"Thank you, girls, it's beautiful!" you say. "Isn't it, Blackfire?"

Blackfire stares at the words, silent.

"Komand'r?" Myand'r says.

Blackfire looks at her sister, Starfire, who is a little confused.

"What's wrong, sister?" Starfire asks. "Do you... not like it?"

"Like it?" Blackfire asks, approaching her sister, lower lip quivering and eyebrows furrowed. "I... I LOVE it!"

With tears in her eyes, Blackfire gives her sister a powerful hug, laughing and crying at the same time.

"And I love you, sister!" she says through the sobs.

Starfire's eyes tear up, and she gives Blackfire an even bigger hug. Their parents look on as their two daughters make peace with each other.
