You all sit with your human teammates, each team taking a side of the large square board, you and Cyborg sitting across from Flashfire and Beastboy while Blackfire and Raven sit across from Starfire and Robin.
"Now to determine who goes first!" Blackfire declares. "Ready?"
All four of the Tamaranian players look at each other, the anticipation building.
"GO!"
The four of you grab for the dice, and each snatch up one.
"And... reveal!"
You all open your hands, and show each other the die that you grabbed.
"Excellent, Robin and I have the red die!" Starfire exclaims.
Blackfire grabbed the silver die, while Flashfire grabbed the yellow one. You have the purple one.
"Is it good to have the red one?" Robin asks.
"For a team of lovers, it is," Blackfire answers. Robin blushes again.
"Lovers?!" he echoes.
"Well, that is what you and Starfire are, aren't you?" you ask him.
"Well, I mean, we're together, but I, that is, we..." Robin stutters and blabbers as Starfire blushes modestly.
"So why are the die different colors?" Raven asks. "Is there a significant meaning that comes with them?"
"For the sake of the game, yes," you answer. "Each one has a corresponding route on the board."
The Titans finally take actual notice of what is on the board, and see there are indeed a red route, silver route, yellow route, and purple route.
"Each route tests the kind of friendship you have with your teammates," Blackfire explains. "Red is designed to test the friendship between lovers and family, while the others test the quality of your friends. Silver tests the humor of your friends, yellow tests the courage of your friends, and purple tests the compassion of your friends."
You can tell Raven feels awkward about being stuck on the humor route.
"How does this help determine who goes first?" Beastboy asks.
"Which ever team best matches their die's route gets to go first," Flashfire answers. "Therefore, it is Robin's and Starfire's turn!"
Starfire puts the die in Robin's hand, and sits close. Together, they roll the die.
