Sleep Over

"Actually, I've wanted to see how Earth is," you say. "Perhaps Blackfire and I can live here peacefully, in secret."

Everyone looks at you, wide-eyed with surprise.

"What...?"

"That'd be fantastic!" Starfire and Flashfire cheer.

"This way, we can visit anytime we want!" Flashfire cheers, hugging her new sister, Starfire.

"Yes," Starfire says, hugging Flashfire back. "We can spend holidays together, just like when we were young!"

"I'd really like that," Blackfire says, actually joining your sisters in their hug.

The rest of the night, you all tell stories--including Blackfire's and Starfire's mother and father--back and forth, marveling at the feats of strength and intelligence, and laughing at the humorous anecdotes of everyone's pasts.

"Wow, is it really almost midnight?" Robin says, looking at the digital clock, reading 11:53PM.

"Well then, we shall be off," Myand'r says, leading his wife to the hole they made in the glass.

"Farewell, Mother! Farewell Father!" both Starfire and Blackfire say as their parents fly away.

"Should we get going, too?" Blackfire asks.

"No, stay the night!" Starfire says. "It is too late to travel now."

"Okay, okay," you say, "we'll spend the night. Blackfire, why don't you and Flashfire spend the night with your sister while I sleep in a spare room. You do have a spare room in here, right?"

"Yeah, we can get you one near Starfire's room," Cyborg says.

"Saffire," Blackfire purrs, snuggling up to you, "I thought you and I were going to... concemate the marriage."

You smile at your naughty new wife, knowing she'd say that.

"Don't worry, Blackfire, we'll have chances to do that later," you whisper in her ear.

You all exit the main room and enter into the hallway. You follow Blackfire and the girls one way while everyone else goes the other way.

"Here you are, Saffire," Starfire says, showing you a basic room with a bed.

"Thank you, Starfire," you say. "Good night, you three."

"Good night," the three girls say back, Blackfire blowing you a little kiss.

You lie down on the bed, and stare at the ceiling.

You can hear the voices of Blackfire and her sister talking, going back and forth between English and Tamaranian. It sounds good, nothing harsh.

"Saffire defeated Val-Yor one-on-one?" Starfire asks.

"Yes, with ease!" Blackfire answers. "He used a special technique he had developed by taking advantage of a strange little quirk he had as a child."

"Yeah," Flashfire adds. "He said his limbs would jerk and fly around when he got really excited."

"He found a way to focus that quirk, so that he could have a chosen limb fly into the opponent. Unfortunately, it is double-edged in that it strains his muscles and joints because of the powerful thrust of flight."

"That may explain why he waited to use it on only one opponent like Val-Yor, and not a team, like Robin and the others."

"Could be," Blackfire says before yawning.

From there, you hear them move around, most likely laying down to go to sleep.

"Good night, Sisters," Stafire says.

"Good night, Sister," Blackfire and Flashfire say together.

After that, silence. You decide to close your eyes, and go to sleep.
