Who is Clamhawk?

As before, Blackfire carries Onyx piggy-back style, while you and Flashfire take front and rear positions.

*WHOOSH* All three Tamaranians take off together.

"We can head back to our ship," Onyx suggests. "We can tune into their radio communications, maybe get an idea on where they are."

"Good idea," you say.

It takes about five to ten minutes to arrive at where the ship was left. You land beside it as Blackfire lets Onyx down off her back.

You enter with Onyx as Flashfire and Blackfire stand guard at the door. Onyx sits in the pilot's chair and turns on the communications system. She tunes it to whatever frequency those Hunters are using. A bass voice comes out of the speakers.

"'Ey, Clamhawk, weeze got some in-tore-lopers."

"Who they be?" a burly voice asks. That must be "Clamhawk."

"It's a few of the natives, and some Tama-ray-knee-ins," the first voice answers. "No idea why they'd be here."

"Their reasons don't matter," Clamhawk says. "Just have everyone know that if they even SMELL those Troqs, shoot 'em dead!"

At that, the radios go dead.

"Damn it," you snarl, "not even a mention of locations."

"Don't worry," Onyx says. "This ship might have a way of giving us that." Onyx flips on some other computers. A pinging sound starts sounding.

You find a little glass display with a few dots on it, and a line sweeping over it. It's a radar!

"Here!" Onyx points at the dot closest to the center. "This one is close! Let's go!"

"Ok," you say, "we'll head their in the sky."

Onyx climbs back onto Blackfire's back, and you all take off.

The closest Hunter base was South by Southwest from the ship. As you fly, the setting moonstar is always to your right, lighting the tops of the trees with its brilliant light.

You can see the Hunters and their vehicle. They are all tense, knowing they are as likely a target as any other Hunter team. They set up their campsite so that there were no hiding places near the vehicle.

You can see that two Hunters stand guard by the truck's back door. Others sit in the center with their rifles at the ready as a couple more pace around the other side of the campsite.

There is an area halfway between the two sides of camp where the forest is far more dense with trees than the other parts around the camp. Unfortunately, the main bulk of the Hunter team set up their campfire right across from there.
