Argument Between Friends

"Ladies, Ladies," you say, "Blackfire is my girlfriend, this is not appropriate."

They giggle, but don't let go of you.

"Well, they do need my warmth for energy."

Blackfire grabs your hand and pulls you along. With Mauvians attached and following closely behind you, you find Nuh and Yoh.

"Now I know how you felt with all those robots eyeing me," she whispers.

With the large mass of female Mauvians following closely behind you, you find Nuh and Yoh.

"Are you telling me I shouldn't have let the boy I liked touch me in front of you?" Yoh asks, defensively.

"YES!" Nuh says, a little frustrated. "That is very intimate stuff that shouldn't be displayed publicly, or in the presence of someone else."

"So basically," Yoh says, getting louder, "I'm supposed to hold in impulses that had built up over the whole month we had been in there just because of you?"

"Well, what about Fay?" Nuh counters. "She's a friend, she probably felt awkward about it, too!"

"Actually, I was fine," Fay speaks up from a few feet away. "If Yoh liked Tek enough to let him touch her body all over, that's fine. It wasn't like we could leave the house."

"And another thing!" Yoh says, "If you didn't like it, you could've said something, or huddled together with Fay away from me and Tek!"

"Look, Yoh," you say, "Nuh just wanted to let you know that she felt awkward and uncomfortable with the idea that you were willing to be so... intimate... with Tek in front of others, and she was even a little worried for the two of you had the situation been different."

"What's he talking about, Nuh?" Yoh asks the violet girl.

"I..." Nuh tries to speak, but she can't come up with words, so you speak for her again.

"Nuh was worried if next Winter would end up with her being alone with a guy she barely knew, and he was all over her."

"Kind of like how the girls are all over Saffire," Blackfire compares.

"Hey!" the three or so attached to you say.

Yoh looks at Nuh, her light blue eyes scanning her friend's violet face.

"Is that what this is about? You didn't want either of us to be taken advantage of through our people's tradition?"

Nuh nods yes, eyes shut tight to keep the tears from coming.

Yoh gives her friend a hug, and says, "Nuh, that's never going to happen. We girls not only out-number them, but we have the power to stop them, you know?"

"You mean, like some kind of super power that paralyzes them?" Flashfire asks.

"No, silly!" Yoh says. "We can tell them to cut it out or we girls will all just spend Winters together. Then they'll have to huddle with other guys!"

You all chuckle, even the Mauvian males.
