More and More Mauvians

"Hi, I'm Saffire," you say as you shake Tek's hand. "This is my sister, Flashfire."

You pause as she shakes Tek's hand.

"And my girlfriend, Blackfire." Tek shakes her hand as well.

"Oh, so you and Nuh aren't together?" Yoh asks.

"No, we're not," Nuh answers. "Not like that, anyways. But I'm guessing you and Tek are?"

Yoh nods yes. "Ever since Spring, about the time you left."

"I see."

A moment of awkward silence passes before Yoh speaks.

"Nuh, are you still upset over what happened during the Winter?"

Nuh is caught off guard by that question.

"No, Yoh, that's--"

"Nuh, I told you," Yoh interrupts, "I let Tek touch me, because I liked him."

"Well, you..." Nuh fails to come up with words. She turns away from Tek and Yoh, embarassed to have been read so easily.

"Nuh, what's wrong?" Blackfire asks quietly.

"It's just, since our people don't have mouths, touching each other like they did is the first level of physical intimacy," Nuh explains. "For her to let Tek do that so soon, with me and Fay right there, it was a little rude."

"Then why don't you just tell Yoh that?" you whisper.

"I would feel awkward, and they might take it as jealousy, that I wanted to be intimate with Tek instead."

"Nuh, you need to tell Yoh that's how it is," you say.

"But Saffire," Nuh begins, but you stop her.

"Nuh, promise me you'll explain your feelings to Yoh."

"Okay..."

You rejoin Fay, Yoh and Tek, and head towards the center of the large gathering.

"Everyone!" Tek calls out. "We have some special guests!"

The other Mauvian teens all turn to look at you. Again, you notice just how many more females there are than males.

"Our fellow Mauvian Nuh has returned," Tek announces, and they applaud and cheer. "And she has brought some Tamaranian friends!"

The teens cheer again, and even marvel at you. Once they finish clapping, they all come closer, forming a cirlce around your small group.

"Is blue your natural hair color?" one Mulberry girl asks.

"Yes, it is. Same goes for Blackfire's hair."

The Mauvians "Oooh" and "Aaah" at their pair of unique guests.

You notice Nuh and Yoh move away. Hopefully Nuh is doing as you ask.

"How long are you staying?" an Orchid colored girl asks.

"Maybe a few days," Blackfire answers. "We wanted to see Nuh's home, and allow her to say hellow to family and friends."

More "Oooh"-ing and "Aaah"-ing.

About a dozen Mauvian girls stand incredibly close to you, Blackfire, and your sister. One bright, psychedelic purple girl, wraps her arms around you.

"Ooo, he's so warm!"

At that, a couple more girls latch on to you.
