"We were thinking..." you hesitate to say it. "You could be the master of ceremonies...?"
At first he doesn't say anything, and you feel even worse than you did when you didn't bow.
"I would be PROUD to be your master of ceremonies!" he booms.
You breath a sigh of relief.
"Now, we must make our ceremonial pedestal!" he booms again.
"Got it!" Beastboy and Cyborg say, bringing in a large metal box.
"Try it out!" Beastboy says.
You, Blackfire and her father stand on it, and all three are supported with plenty of room.
"Very good, young green human, and part-machine human!" Myand'r compliments. "Now, quickly, Komand'r, you must get dressed. Luand'r!"
"Yes, yes, Myand'r, I know!" Blackfire's mother says as she lets Starfire and Flashfire continue to slice meat. "Come, Komand'r, you need to try on my old dress. It's packed away in my bag." Luand'r pulls out a medium sized purse-like thing from within her gown, and pulls Blackfire along.
"Koriand'r, we'll borrow your room for the moment!"
"Yes, Mother!"
Luand'r and Blackfire leave the room, leaving you, the other Titans, and your future father-in-law alone while Starfire and Flashfire are busy boiling a stew.
You sit down, as does Myand'r. You two are quiet for a moment before an idea pops into your head.
"Blackfire and I met when I saved her."
"Really?" he asks. "I would never imagine Komand'r would need help, nor allow it."
"Well, I could tell that she needed it," you say. "She was outnumbered, two-to-one, so I just evened up the numbers."
"Ah, mighty chivalrous of you!" he compliments, patting you on the back again. "But I'm sure she didn't warm up to you right away."
"No," you say, "although she stayed in the same bed with me that night."
"What?"
Oh X'hal, what did you say?! What did you say...!?
