Onyx's Home

In the morning, you feel someone on top of you, but you don't open your eyes.

You open your eyes. Thank X'Hal, it is Blackfire. She must have switched places with Flashfire after you and your sister fell asleep.

"Hey, Blackfire," you whisper as you pet her head.

"Hi," she says in a sleepy voice. "Like my switcharoo?"

"Most certainly."

Flashfire stirs on the other side of the bed.

"How long did you two stay up?" you ask.

"Not for too much," she answers. "She was so cute, asking how many times we did 'that'."

"What?" you hiss. "You didn't tell her did you?"

"I only told her the number, relax. Come on, we should have breakfast and check in with the others." Blackfire then starts getting up and out of bed.

"Lead the way," you say as you get up.

You let Flashfire sleep in, she knows the way to the main room.

The two of you exit the room, and see Nuh and Foxy nibbling of toasted bread slathered with jelly.

"Where are we headed to now?" you ask.

"We're going to Onyx's home planet, Shadow," Foxy announces.

"Luckily this ship is already outfitted for visits to my home," Onyx says. You remember the night-vision goggles and thermal detection devices.

"Right, you got this ship from people who visited your home planet."

"Yep," Onyx says. "And in case those guys are waiting for us, I'll land on the opposite side of the planet that i took off from."

"Good plan," you say. You and Blackfire sit down to have some toast of your own.

It takes several hours for you to come within visual range of Shadow, as well as for Flashfire to wake up on her own.

"Why didn't you wake me?" she whines.

"I was being a nice older brother," you say.

The ship lands, and Foxy and Nuh grab a flashlight, while you, Flashfire, and Blackfire just charge a starbolt.

"Onyx," Blackfire says, "how are you going to see in the dark?"

"My hair glows in the dark, remember? I'm my own flashlight!"
