Pre-Wedding Jitters

"We don't want to intrude," you say. "And we really only intended to have a small ceremony, with nothing special. We had just planned on having at least Starfire and Flashfire there."

"For shame!" Starfire scolds. "Sister, this is too wonderful a thing to keep plain and simple! What about the traditional Tamaranian feast? What about the wedding dress?"

"What about the after party?!" Flashfire shouts.

"I'd like some of that feast," Cyborg says, raising a hand.

"And I like to party!" Beastboy says.

"Please, Brother!" Flashfire asks.

"Please, Sister!" Starfire asks.

"Please, Robin!!" Flashfire, Starfire, and even Cyborg and Beastboy, beg.

"Well..." the three of you say. "Maybe..."

You, Blackfire, and Robin look at Raven, who hasn't said anything at all.

"So long as no one goes in my room, I don't mind."

The room explodes with cheers.

"Then it is decided!" Starfire shouts. "I shall call mother and father immediately!"

Starfire hurries out of the room.

"Uh..."

You turn to look at Blackfire.

"There's no stopping her," she says. "And there certainly wouldn't be any stopping our parents, the former King and Queen of Tamaran."

Flashfire starts flying around the room, inspecting every corner.

"It seems alright," she says. "We just need something for the bride and groom to stand on with the master of ceremonies while the vows are read!"

"I'm sure we have something they can use," Cyborg mumbles. "Is that all?"

"Yes," Flashfire answers. "Starfire and I can make the feast using whatever Earth foods you have that are similar, and I'm sure the former Queen will bring some things as well."

"They are on their way!" Starfire declares. "And Mother is bringing the dress from HER wedding!"

Flashfire and the others marvel, but Blackfire looks even more uncomfortable.

"Blackfire, relax," you say as both of the younger sisters hurry to make the meals for the feast. "This is a great thing! Your father and mother love you, and want to share this day with us."

"How can they?" she asks. "I tried to rule our planet as a dictator, and I tried to destroy my sister..."

"But that is a parent's love, Blackfire. Just how my sister loved me even though I wasn't there, and how your sister is so, so happy for you in spite of all those things you did, your parents forgive you and want to be here for you."

Blackfire tears up, and smiles.

"Thank you," she says, leaning her head on your shoulder.
