So Much for Stealth

"Damn," you growl. "You two get to the trucks QUIETLY, while I help your cousin!"

*ZAP* You shoot the mustached Hunter in the head.

"AARR!" he cries in pain, clutching his head. The Shadowan girl runs as the other Hunters get up and look around. The toady Hunter manages to grab the girl's ankle with his stretchy tongue.

*WHOOSH* You fly out at the toad.

*ZING BOOM* You shoot his tongue with a bolt, and he releases the girl.

You stand between the Hunters and her, starbolts and lazer eyes charged up. They all focus their attention on you as you see Flashfire and Obsidian sneaking behind the vehicles.

"Wha tha hell ah you doin' hurr, Tama-ray-knee-in?" a Hunter with a pop-belly asks. His accent makes his words sound a little off.

"I'm here to stop you Hunters from turning sentient beings into nothing more than possessions."

"Well, who wooda thought thaw a Tama-ray-knee-in would have such a heart. Get 'im!"

*PEW PEW PEW* They rapidly fire their lazer rifles at you.

*WHOOSH* You scoop up the Shadowan girl and fly up into the air in one motion.

"Do you know a boy named Obsidian?" you ask her.

"You found my cousin?!" she cries. Good, at least Obsidian recognized the right girl.

"I'm helping him rescue his family, and that includes you!"

You fly with her in your arms several yards up, and dodge the lazer fire. You can just see Obsidian and Flashfire help the other captured Shadowans escape. They scatter into the forest, unheard over the lazer fire.

"Git dawn hurr, Tama-ray-knee-in!" the pop-bellied Hunter roars.

"Hold on to me tightly!" you tell Obsidian's cousin. She wraps her arms around your neck as you point your hands down at the Hunters.

*ZINGZINGZINGZING* You fire bolts as rapidly as the Hunters were shooting their lazers.

*BOOM BOOM BOOM* Explosions make the Hunters scatter, and one notices that the vehicles are open.

"Hey! Someone let out our catches!"

Flashfire and Obsidian are seen up in the sky over the vehicles.
