No Longer Valiant

You sit there, still feeling like Val-Yor doesn't like you as much as he likes the non-Tamaranians.

"Wow, that's a real step up from being an intergalactic hero!" Blackfire says mockingly. You chuckle.

"Now, what's that supposed to mean?" he asks.

"Oh, nothing," she replies, "I just figured that a 'great hero' like yourself would be protecting planets from evil in epic battles on a regular basis. Stopping everyday criminals seems a little boring after stopping the Locrix army."

"Well, it's not like there are that many armies of evil out there," he says. "Although that's probably because they know I'll defeat them."

Onyx, Nuh, Foxy, and Flashfire are wowed by his confidence.

"Well, if you're so confident you can beat another powerful opponent," Blackfire says, "how about you fight one of us?"

"W-what?" Val-Yor asks, confused.

"You should fight one of us Tamaranians," she clarifies. "After all, you guessed that our people took care of the Locrix that invaded Tamaran for you. And you said the Titans were able to defeat many Locrix, yet we beat the Titans. So it is a logical idea for you to test your strength against those stronger than your helpers, to see how truly tough you are."

"Well, I, uh..." He looks at Onyx, Nuh, and Foxy. The three girls are beaming, encouraging him to accept the challenge. "Sure, I'll face on of you. I choose you!" he says, pointing to YOUR SISTER!

"Me?!" Flashfire exclaims.

Onyx and the other girls seem concerned, but you and Blackfire are calm about it.

"Don't worry," she tells Flashfire, "you'll do fine. I know it."

With this vote of confidence, Flashfire accepts, and the seven of you go outside.

Foxy acts as the referee of sorts, standing between Flashfire and Val-Yor.

"This fight will go until one opponent either quits or is knocked out! Begin!"

*WHOOSH* Flashfire flies right at Val-Yor. He simply steps to one side and lets her zip past.

Val-Yor grabs the back of Flashfire's shirt, and pulls back. Flashfire's flight forward is halted almost immediately. When Flashfire flies backward, Val-Yor flips her upside down and slams her on the ground.

Val-Yor raises his elbow, and aims for Flashfire's back. Val-Yor lets his feet move out from under him, and he drops through the air.
