An Instant Bond

You stare at her as she walks up to the table. As far as you can tell, there isn't anything out of the ordinary about her. No slight difference in the hue of her hair, or the color of her eyes. Nothing.

You stand up, holding out your hand. She looks at you, surprised to see a guest, let alone a Tamaranian with blue hair.

"Father," she asks, "who is this?"

"Flashfire," you father says, "this is your older brother, Saffire."

"What...?!" she says, still staring at you, a little in awe. "This is really him?!"

"Yes," your mother answers. "Now shake his hand! You can't leave him waiting like this."

She doesn't grab your hand. Instead, she flies up into the air, and hugs you, her arms around your chest as she jumps up and down.
"I knew you'd return!" she shouts. "I just knew it! Father and Mother told me about you when I was little, and I always hoped that X'Hal would bring you back, and he has! He has!"

Then she looks around at the girls, and notices Blackfire sitting right next to you. She gasps a happy gasp, and hugs Blackfire.

"And you've got a Tamaranian girlfriend!" she squeals as she nuzzles up to her. A little awkwardly, Blackfire smiles, and pats Flashfire on the head.

"Yes," Blackfire says. "I'm his girlfriend. And it's official, since I gave him one of my aach-chas."

"Really?!" Flashfire's eyes widen. "That means you'll be my older sister someday!"

As Flashfire has dinner, you tell her stories about your travels. At least, the parts that don't involve crimes. Essentially, all the stuff that has happened since meeting Blackfire, minus the sexual things, and the Teen Titans.
"Wow..." Flashfire says with hushed excitement. "Saffire, your adventures are amazing! But if Blackfire is your girlfriend, why'd you bring Onyx and the others with you?"

"They're our friends!" you answer. "And they wanted to see our home planet. So of course we brought them!" You laugh as you pat your sister on the head.

"Flashfire," your mother calls. "It's getting late, you should go to bed!"

"Aww, but mother," Flashfire begs, "I want to stay up and listen to some of Blackfire's stories, too!"

"Don't worry, Flashfire," you tell her. "We'll all be here tomorrow, so you can listen to her stories then."

"Aww, but Saffire!" she begs.

"No, no," you say, "you know Mother is right. Besides, you look really sleepy."

"No I do*YAAAWN* not..." Flashfire rubs her eyes, trying to make the sleepiness go away.

"I have an idea," Blackfire says, leading Flashfire to her room. "I'll tell you bedtime stories. That way you get to do what you want AND what your mother wants."
"Well, even though I'm old enough to not need bedtime stories," Flashfire states matter-of-factly, "I guess that'll work."

"What kind of stories are you going to tell?" you ask Blackfire.

"Stories of how I and my sister were when we were young," she answers.

"You have a younger sister, too?" Flashfire asks.

"Yes, but we don't always get along as well as you and Saffire do."

"Really? Why?"

"Let's just say we have different ways of living, so we tend to fight."

Blackfire and Flashfire enter her room. You can hear them talking, but not clearly. You see that Onyx, Nuh, and Foxy have fallen asleep on the floor. You mother finds a spare blanket or two, and covers them as she did with you when you were little.
