Slight detour

At the end of three quiet hours, a spaceship flies up along side you and Blackfire.

You and Blackfire bank left and fly lower, ignoring the unknown ship. However, that doesn't get it to go away. It merely hovers above you.

Suddenly, a hatch opens on the bottom of the ship.

*KACHOO* A net is shot out of the hatch!

You and Blackfire easily dodge the net, and the net keeps flying through space. You and Blackfire are already at full speed, so you two stop immediately. The ship zooms past, and has to put on the brakes to turn around. You and Blackfire take the oppurtunity to dive down and to the right.

"I guess we won't be going to Tamaran after all!" you tell Blackfire as you enter a planet's atmosphere.

You find yourself on Planet Beepboop, a planet almost entirely covered by industry and technology. You can see Robo-citizens walking robo-pets, and downloading robo-entertainment in groups, responding with robo-laughs and applause. Large buildings buzz and hum with the sound of computers processing data.

"We need to hide fast," Blackfire shouts, "or else that ship will find us easily among all these machines!"

You and Blackfire dive into an alley, and hide in what looks to be a trash dumpster. You watch from inside the dumpster as the ship flies through the sky. It was probably scanning for you as you and Blackfire huddled together among the metal scraps and oily rags.

After a minute or two of searching, the ship left Beepboop's atmosphere, probably set to search the other planets nearby.

You and Blackfire get out of the dumpster and brush off the garbage. You figure the coast is clear, so you lead Blackfire out into the street. You keep an eye on the sky, in case that ship comes back for a second look.

You and Blackfire round a corner and *CONK* walk into a robo-citizen.

"Hey!" it says in a metallic voice. "Watch where you are going, Organic Tourist 0001!"

"Sorry," you apologize, leading Blackfire around the robot.

"Well at least we know one thing," Blackfire says. "There haven't been any organic beings on this planet before us."

"Well, maybe," you say. "Certainly aren't any other organics here today."

You and Blackfire walk down the metal street, avoiding the gazes of the robo-citizens.

"We should'nt have come here," Blackfire says, feeling awkward. "They're staring at us..."

"No," you say after looking around. "They're staring at you!"

You fly up without Blackfire, and the robots prove you right. They only pay attention to Blackfire. At least, robo-citizens that resemble males...

You fly back down, and take her by the hand. You watch the robots tentatively, ready to jump up into the air at the slightest thing.

One robot takes a small step forward, and you charge up a bolt.

"No, no," another robot calls out. "Do not worry, Organic Male 0001." The speaking robot makes itself known by waddling out in front of the others. It has a blocky head and body, with two eyes and a speaker for a mouth. "We do not mean your female companion harm!"
