"Grooooong. Grooooong." The sound echoes again, as do the scraping sounds. Now you and Blackfire run towards the sound.
Up ahead, you can see a hairy beast with big tusks and bulgy eyes fighting someone. That someone is wearing armor just like the one you found! The hairy beast is trying to stab the person with their tusks, but every time the armor deflects and the creature slams into a tree, scraping off bark.
'Groooooong!" the beast bellows. It digs into the dirt for traction, and snorts. The beast prepares to charge the person again, and the person seems a bit tired.
*WHOOSH* Blackfire jumps in just as the beast charges, and punches it square in the head. The beast is knocked down, and doesn't move.
You fly over to Blackfire, and the armored person approaches. They remove their armor to reveal a perfectly round head and shiny maroon hair.
"Thank you," the say in a deep, strong voice. They hold out your hand, clad in a bronze glove.
"You're welcome," you say, taking his hand in yours. He has quite the grip. What species is he?
You and Blackfire grab a tusk, and drag the hairy creature back towards the Woburgins' ship.
"Oh, wait!" the bronze-armored person calls after. "I must know you're names!"
"The name's Saffire," you answer. "And this is Blackfire."
"Hello," she says, waving with her free hand. "And you are?" she asks the warrior.
"I am... Gogorio!" he dramatically shouts, taking a theatric pose. "I am of the city of Hohorino, which is several miles away from these forests. I and a few others had come here to look for creatures such as the one you are dragging, so as to conquer them and bring them home as proof we have become true warrirors!"
"Damn, she only asked you your name," you say curtly.
"Saffire, don't be so mean," Blackfire scolds. "So are you the last one to succeed in your quest?"
"Yes," Gogorio says rather gloomily. "Only because the others have failed utterly and died..."
"Oh... that's unfortunate."
"Yes," he says, "but it is proof that they were not ready, and shall be given a second chance in their next lives!" At this, Gogorio straightens up and smiles proudly.
