As Swift as a Coursing River...

"Of course! Lead the way, Princess!"

The two of you get back up, and head back into the forest. Blackfire makes sure to go in a different direction than before.

You come across a stream, and she starts to follow it downstream.

"Even though this is a forest planet," she says, "I bet this stream leads to a river, which could lead to a lake or small sea."

You follow after, watching for any more dangerous looking plants, as well as keeping an eye on Blackfire's cute behind. ;D

The stream you two have been following soon joins with other streams, and now it is a creek. Blackfire continues on, and you follow. She stills seems a little peppy. The flower pollen's effect was dulled by the drink, you suppose. Of course, love can be pretty intoxicating, too, even for criminals like you two.

As Blackfire wagered, the streams and creeks join a river. The current isn't strong, and the water is crystal clear.

You and Blackfire walk right up to the bank of the river, and watch as leaves and strange looking fish move downstream.

"Alright, let's follow the river," you say as you walk along the bank.

"Saffire," Blackfire whines a bit, "can't we swim in it?" She pouts a bit.

"No," you affirm. "we need to be more careful. What if those fish it flesh!?

"Ugh, you are so worrisome!"

"I'm worried because I don't want you getting hurt!" You hold her still in your arms. "Those flowers could have done worse than make us drunk, especially if we hadn't gotten that drink from the Woburgins. It doesn't mttter if I get hurt, I just don't want to see you hurt."

Blackfire smiles softly, and gives you a little hug.

"I love you," she says.

"And I you," you reply. The two of you continue down the riverbank, Blackfire leading you by the hand.

After over a mile of walking, the river connects with a giant lake with sandy shores. You and Blackfire walk down to the shores, and she removes her dark-purple, thigh-high boots. She squishes her toes into the sand.

"The sand is so soft!" She walks up to where sand meets water, and dips her toes. "And the water is nice and cool! And the sunlight is so warm!" She stretches her arms out, as if to catch big sunbeams.
