Is she gonna spit-shine it?

Blackfire picks up a rag and a little canister of wax polish, and gets down on her knees. She rubs a good amout of wax onto the rag, then wraps the rag around the metal shaft. She smooths the rag up and down the long piece of metal several times, gripping really tight. Up, down, up, down, up, down...

The metal shaft soon begins to be shiny, and you can see Blackfire's reflection in.

"Make sure to shine the plug at the end," the square robot says.

Blackfire puts more wax on the rag, and rubs it on the plug in small little circles.

"That's it," the square bot says. "Just like that..."

You start feeling a little awkward, just standing there watching. You hear clicking sounds, and look to your left. There are robots standing there, with little flashes of light coming out of their eyes. They were taking pictures, just as Blackfire said!
Blackfire finally put the rag and wax away, then put on her clothing.

"Good-bye, everyone!" she says as she waves to the robots.

"Good-bye, Blackfire!" they say back.

You and Blackfire exit the mysterious buidling, and fly into space.

"Where to?" she asks.

"I think now we can head to Tamaran."

Blackfire groans a bit.

"Are you still for that?"

"Yes!" you respond. "And I already told you why. I'm sure my parents will be glad to see us."

"But Saffire, we're still criminals!" she reminds you. "We've been banished from home!"

"So what?!" you say, defiantly. "If they try to capture us, then we can just fight them and escape. I just want to visit."

Blackfire stays quite for some moments. The two of you stare at each other.

"This is because of your old friend, Spitfire, isn't it?"

You are a little caught off guard, but you answer her.

"Yes, because I never got to see her grave, I never got to attend her funeral, I never got to say good-bye to her!"

"You loved her, didn't you?" Again, Blackfire's question catches you off guard.

"Yes," you admit, "I did. But that was then. I love you now. I just want to visit home long enough to say a good-bye that has been years overdue."

Blackfire looks at you for a few minutes.

"Ok," she concedes. "We'll go. But ONLY long enough for you to find her grave marker and say good-bye."
