Last Day of Vacation

You tell Blackfire about the nightmare, and she comforts you with kisses.

"I know I'm going to meet that bully if we go to Tamaran," you say. "Maybe we shouldn't go."

"No," Blackfire says. "As against the idea as I was, we should go to Tamaran, for your sake. It might even help make amends with the bully."

"I suppose," you say. "But I heard you talking last night, before I fell asleep. You wanted to stay here on Sandalia."

"No, no," she says, "I said I wished we could, but I know we should be moving on, and the only destination we have in mind is Tamaran."

"Well, we don't have to leave today," you say. "We could stay and spend one more day, then leave tomorrow or something."

"Are you sure that's what you really want?" Blackfire ask.

"Yeah," Onyx says. "It would be worse if you're lying to yourself, or holding back the truth because of fear."

"Well..." You think about it. "I... I don't really know right now."

"It's alright," Blackfire says. "We'll stay one more day anyway, so that you can think it over, ok?"

"OK."

Blackfire gets dressed, then you and her exit the room, with Onyx and Nuh following you. The four of you join Boit and Radian in the den.

"Whoa whoa," Boit says, seeing you and the girls. "FOUR girls? Man, you Tamaranians have unbelievable stamina!"

Foxy sleepily stumbles out and joins the rest of you. All five of you have thick oatmeal for breakfast. The girls giggle, probably at some private joke having to do with last night.

The whole day goes by, you and the girls walking around the beach, playing in the water, watching people play beach sports, watching television.

It's after dinner that Onyx speaks up.

"I have an idea! When you two leave for Tamaran, WE can join you! Foxy, Nuh, and me!"
